Armelle, planning-scheduling & development monitoring manager
Straight away at the end of my chemistry studies, I replied to a job advert at TDV Industries when they were looking for a chemistry laboratory technician. The post was perfect for what I had studied and also my job expectations. Since then I’ve progressed to the manager of planning-scheduling and development monitoring in dying. The first role consists of scheduling product orders transmitted by the Sales Administrator and Supply Chain Manager, and ensuring production needs are catered for in terms of dye and chemical product supplies. Development monitoring consists in perfecting in our laboratory new shades requested by our customers, the design of new feels, new finishes, and taking up where the R&D unit leaves off in the dyeing and finishing of new articles.
In a few weeks from now I shall be working exclusively in development monitoring, the success of which is crucial for TDV.
I like the diversity of my work, the fact that no day is like any other. I also enjoy the satisfaction of having hit on the right dye recipe when a customer asks for a new shade and then validates it.
There is also intellectual satisfaction in acquiring new technical knowledge because TDV Industries is developing articles with fibers like acrylic, aramid, Tencel and flax fibers.
The determination of management to ensure we all work towards Textile Excellence also encourages us to question ourselves, rethink our way of working, while at the same time being self-sufficient in our work. The company’s CSR policy means a lot to me.
